A lesson learned sharing was held at the CIRDAP auditorium in the capital yesterday, says a press release.
The meeting was organised by Bangladesh Knowledge Management Initiative (BKMI) - a project implemented by Bangladesh Centre for Communication Programmes (BCCP) and Johns Hopkins Centre for Communication Programmes and supported by USAID.
“Behavior Change is a long and decisive issue; to change certain behaviors we need a longer time. I expect, BKMI will start working again with us in a larger scale and contribute significantly in the development of our country” said Mohammad Wahid Hossain, Director General, DGFP as the chief guest of the event. The project BKMI works to build the capacity of the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MOHFW) in Bangladesh to improve knowledge management and coordinate behavior change communication (BCC) in the country. BKMI collaborated with MOHFW to establish the gold standard of BCC for health, population and nutrition and make the best tools and resources available in an offline, digital format to health workers in the field.
Ms Roxana Quader, additional secretary (PH & WH) said, “For the last three years BKMI worked with the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare along with a number of other organisations. Undoubtedly the project helps us in our systemic development, institutional and individual capacity development”.
Among other guests, ADG Admin, Director-CDC, Director-MIS, LD-BHE and LD-IPHN from DGHS and Director-MCH, Director-IEM, and Director-MIS of DGFP attended the event. Besides, stakeholders from different national and international institutions and NGOs also attended the meeting.
