Bangladesh hard-hitting batsman Sabbir Rahman Rumman said that he wants to play long innings in Test without changing his batting intent.
“Since my childhood I had dream to play in Test. All consider me as T20 specialist but I have proved my capability in one day. Now I got chance in Test squad. I will try to showcase myself if I get chance to play in Test match. Actually I want to play better cricket in three formats,” said Sabbir Rahman, who broke into the Test squad for the first time in this tour.
“There are many more times in Test match. I will get enough time while I will get down for batting. I will try my best effort so I can stretch my innings,” Rumman told media at a Chittagong hotel before going out for practice.
The right-handed batsman said that adaptation in Test will not be tough job for him though he bats in aggressive mode.
“It is imperative to set-up mind in Test. I have to prepare myself how I will play my own game. I have taken my preparation not only through practice with the team but also me personally,” Sabbir said.
Rajshahi-born all-rounder, who is honing his bowling alongside batting skills, said that his experience will provide impetus to do well in the longer version.
“I have been playing domestic cricket for a long period. That experience will back me up to play in Test matches,” the 24-year-old batsman said.
