Microsoft will participate in Digital World 2016 to be held at the International Convention City, Bashun-dhara, from October 19-21, as a key sponsor, a press statement said yesterday.
Digital World is the largest IT Expo of Bangla-desh which covers the breadth of knowledge in the IT program, and highlights the optimum use of the economic potentials of ICT.
Microsoft will be part of six seminars where panelists will focus on topics related to the crucial Digital Transformation journey of Bangladesh toward “Digital Bangladesh”.
Six high profile regional officials of Microsoft will not only attend this year’s Digital World, but will also actively participate in various segments of the program and will deliver special presentations at several seminars.
Sonia Bashir Kabir, managing director of Microsoft Bangladesh, said, “The economy of Bangladesh is growing at a healthy pace. The consistent growth rate, coupled with an increasing number of tech-savvy youths and a fertile environment for investment, has allowed tech giants like Microsoft to act on the high level of importance that they attribute to this market.”
Digital World has become widely regarded as a productive platform to establish network between local and regional/global IT-ITES industry leaders and experts with a view to share their achievements and experiences, the statement added.
