Director of Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) Brigadier General M Mizanur Rahman today said the hospital authority will form a committee soon to investigate the ambulance accident occurred yesterday at the entrance of the hospital, reports BSS.
“We will form a committee soon to investigate the accident and ensure the justice of family members of the victims,” the Director told BSS.
The three-members committee headed by DMCH Director Brigadier General M Mizanur Rahman.
The hospital will bear the expenditure of carrying the bodies to their relatives and treatment cost of the injured persons.
Health and Family Planning Minister Mohammad Nasim yesterday said that the exemplary punishment would be given to the driver of the ambulance while visiting the hospital.
Four people, including a six months pregnant woman, were killed and at least three persons were injured after an ambulance ran them over at the entrance of Dhaka Medical College Hospital yesterday morning.
The DMCH outpost in-charge Sub Inspector Bachchu Miah said in primary investigation they found that the private ambulance was being driven by Sohel who is the helper of the ambulance.
