Cognisance order against five ‘Razakars’ November 17

BSS

The International Crimes Tribunal (ICT-BD) yesterday set November 17 to pass order whether to take cognizance of the charges of crimes against humanity against five alleged Razakars from Patuakhali, reports BSS.

The accused are Ishak Shikder, Abdul Gani Hawlader, Abdul Awal alias Moulavi Awal, Abdus Sttar Pyada and Solaiman Mridha.
Justice Anwarul Haque, chairman of the three-member panel of tribunal, passed the order as prosecutors Zead al-Malum and Rezia Sultana Chemon pleaded for taking cognizance of the charges against the accused. Earlier on October 13, the prosecution submitted formal charge against the five bringing six charges of crimes against humanity including murder, genocide and rape.
