ACC announces guideline

The Anti Corruption Commission (ACC) has announced a guideline for plaintiffs asking them to submit their graft allegations to the Commission which are under its jurisdiction, reports UNB.
In a statement on Thursday, the national anti-graft agency said these days the Commission has been receiving a huge number of graft allegations, but it has no jurisdiction to conduct probes into all such allegations. The allegations, which are out of its jurisdiction, are hampering the Commission activities, the statement said. As per the Anti Corruption Commission Act 2004, the ACC has the jurisdiction to conduct probes if people take bribes while performing duty in government offices, accumulate illegal wealth, and plunder money from banks, financial institutions and government offices.
It also has the authority to probe money-laundering cases, forgery by government and bank officials, and some other issues.
