Royal Air Force Aerobatics Team (RAFAT), which is also known as Red Arrows along with 12 Hawk T1 and one C-130 aircraft, arrived in Dhaka on a brief stop over in Bangladesh yesterday.
The aircraft landed at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport after taking off from Kalkata at noon. Before landing the aircrafts carried out a spectacular ‘formation pass’.
During stopover in Bangladesh, Chief of Air Staff Air Chief Marshal Abu Esrar, chairman of civil aviation authority Air Vice Marshal Ehsanul Gani Choudhury and other senior BAF Officers exchanged greetings and views with the British Aerobatics team at BAF tarmac in Kurmitola.
British High Commissioner to Bangladesh Alison Blake also present on the occasion. They also took part in a photo session with the British Aerobatics team members.
British Aerobatics team members departed for Thailand on the same day after noon availing transit facility. Before departure, the aircrafts refuelled at BAF Tarmac.
