‘JMB man’ held in C’nawabganj

Chapainawabganj: Detectives arrested a suspected member of banned militant outfit Jamaat-ul-Mujahideen Bangladesh from Khakchapra area in Islampur union parishad of Sadar upazila early yesterday, reports UNB.The arrestee was identified as Mizanur Rahman alias Palash, 28, son of Rafikul Islam, a resident of Angariapara area of Chapainawabganj municipality.
Hamidur Rashid, officer-in-charge of the Detective Branch of police, said on secret information a team of detectives conducted a drive in the area around 3.30am and arrested Palash from the area.
He is an active member of JMB and a fugitive accused in two cases, added the OC.
