Unidentified miscreants stabbed to death a former vice-principal of Eden University College at a under construction building at Banani DOHS area in the capital.
Slain Ali Hossain Malik,70, was staying at a house no 53/A of the area, police said.
Nazrul Islam, officer-in-charge of Vashantek Police Station said, getting information, we recovered the body from a flat on the sixth floor of the building yesterday.
His hands and legs were tied with rope and there were several marks of stabbing on his body.
We are primarily suspecting that two staffs of the building had killed the teacher at any time on Monday night.
Mahbubur Rahman, a brother –in- law of the victim said, he was staying alone and the owner of the house was a developer who is currently staying abroad.
There was a caretaker and a driver who were also living in the building but now they were absconding after the incident, police said. The body was sent to the Dhaka Medical College Hospital morgue for autopsy.
