Madrasha teacher jailed

RAJSHAHI: A madrasha teacher has been jailed for three months on Monday on charge of sexually harassing a girl student of the madrasha in the district, reports BSS.
The convict has been identified as Abdul Aziz, 49, a teacher of Mondanpur Women Dakhil Madrasha under Bagmara Upazila.
On information, a police team from Bagmara Police Station rushed to the spot and arrested the teacher. Subsequently, the matter was brought to notice of Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO).
UNO Nasrin Akter set a mobile court on the premises of madrasha Monday afternoon and found the teacher guilty of the charge based on deposition of the girl and other circumstantial evidences.
The court sentenced him to three months jail.
