Health minister gets stuck in secretariat lift for 30 minutes

Health Minister Mohammad Nasim got stuck in a lift for almost 30 minutes at his ministry building at the Secretariat yesterday, reports UNB. Julfiker Ali, assistant superintendent of police at the Secretariat, said the health minister along with his APS and another person got stuck in the lift when it reached between the 1st and 2nd floors due to technical glitch around 3:50 pm. On information, lift operators and fire service men rushed in and managed to rescue the minister after breaking open a portion of the lift around 4:15pm, said Porikkhit Chowdhury, senior information officer of the health ministry. After getting out of lift, the health minister asked the officials concerned of the Public Works Ministry to take necessary action against the lift provider concerned, he said.
