CHITTAGONG,: Chittagong Metropolitan Police (CMP) in a series of overnight special drives arrested 75 people from different areas in the city during the last 24 hours, reports BSS.
Police seized 1,221 pieces of yaba tablets, 65 liters liquor and 72 cans of beer during the drives, a CMP press release said.
They also seized a country-made firearm, three knives and a mini truck during the drive. A total of nine cases were filed in these connections and.
Besides, CMP and Bangladesh Road Transport Authority (BRTA) filed 534 cases against different types of vehicles including CNG-run auto rickshaws for not obeying the metropolitan rules in the city during the last 24-hour.
They also seized 19 vehicles including 12 CNG-run auto rickshaws during the drives, the release added.
