RAJSHAHI: Speakers at an advocacy meeting Monday in Rajshahi called for making the forthcoming de-worming week from October 22 to 27 a total success, reports BSS.
They underlined the need on creating widespread health awareness among the school-going children to prevent communicable diseases. Terming the schoolboys and girls as the vulnerable to worm infection, they called for making them aware about hygiene and using sanitary latrine. They emphasized on practicing proper hand washing before taking every meal. They were addressing the central level meeting organised by the Rajshahi City Corporation (RCC) at its conference room marking the National Worm Control week-2016. The main objective of the meeting was to disseminate ideas among the stakeholders and other policy-makers so that they could play a vital role in creating awareness.
