Theatre 52 brings its first production on stage today

Theatre 52, a new theatre troupe, is going to premiere its first production titled Nonon Purer Melay Ekjon Komola Sundori O Ekti Bagh Ase today at the Studio Theatre Hall of Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy, Segun Bagicha in the capital.
Scripted by Badruzzaman Alamgir and directed by Jayita Mahalanobish, the play is the interaction between the myth of Bangla and Liberation War of Bangladesh. Though the story of the play revolves around the life of a war child, each character in the play represents the common rural people of Bangladesh.
The cast of the play includes Rabin Basak, Sangita Chowdhury, Shibani Karmankar Shilu, Ratan Haque, Mizanur Rahman, Adib Majlish Khan, Nusrat Tuba, Md Asaduzzaman Sarker Ripon, Faisal Prodhan, Antik Mahalanobish and others.
Palash Hendry Sen has designed the set and lighting, while ABS James has directed the music. The song Jaibar Age Jao Bole Jao by Rinkon Sikder, a late member of Prachyanat, has been used in the play. Chetona Rahman Bhasa, Gope Debnath, Surovi Roy, Nazrul Islam, Ratan Haque and Joyita Mahalanobish lent their vocals to the play.
