Islam teaches message of peace: Ershad

RANGPUR: Jatiya Party Chairman Hussein Muhammad Ershad yesterday said Islam always teaches and preaches the message of peace and brotherhood, reports BSS.
“We must bring out our country from the wrong notion of equaling Islam with militancy,” Ershad said at a ceremony before laying the foundation stone of multi-storied building of Abdul Karim Shahjalal (R) Darul Ulum Hafizia Madrasah, Lillah Boarding and Orphanage in Guratipara area in the city as the chief guest.
Ershad said the madrasha students should be well aware of militancy and uphold that the madrasha students and militancy were not synonymous.
He called upon the religious leaders for preaching the real message of Islam, the religion of peace.
With chairman of the governing committee  Sirajul Islam in the chair, convener of district Jatiya Party Mofazzal Hossain addressed the ceremony as special guest.
