The bilateral series between the hosts Bangladesh and England will begin on Friday as soon as the conclusion of the ODI series against Afghanistan at home turf.
The ticket hopefuls is getting the second chance to buy the ticket for this series from shohoz.com, online-based ticket selling organisation, who earlier sold tickets of the Afghanistan series as the ticketing partner.
The ticket aspirants could purchase the tickets both online and off-line. The selling of the online ticket has been formally started since Wednesday though shohoz.com had started selling on Tuesday night to dig the demands of the ticket aspirants. But the tickets will be on sale physically at the Suhrawardi Indoor Stadium in Mirpur only on match day.
Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) CEO Nizamuddin Chowdhury stated this at a press conference at the Media Block of the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium (SBNCS) yesterday.
“The price of the ticket for the series has been remained ‘same’ except Grand Stand. This time the price for Grand Stand has been fixed at TK 2000,” said Chowdhury.
The price range has been started from the minimum Tk 100 and the maximum TK 2,000. According to the category, Grand Stand (North and South) has been fixed at Tk 2,000, VIP Stand for Tk 500, Shaheed Mustaque and Jewel Stands at Tk. 300, North and South Stand at Tk 150 and Eastern Stand for Tk 100.
The ticket hopeful has to spend the 15 percent VAT with the face price for physical ticket. But they have to pay an additional 25 more taka as service charge with 15 percent VAT and the face price for online ticket.
Maliha Kader, MD of Shohoz.com, said that they try to provide the tickets hopeful what amount of tickets they get from the cricket board.
“We tentatively started selling tickets on Tuesday night to get the actual demand of the tickets. But we got a huge response from the ticket aspirants in between 11:30pm-12:00 midnight, where 20,000 people were on our site,” said Maliha Kader.
“We get 30 percent ticket from the board. That means we get more than 7,000 tickets for the online customers. A customer could purchase a maximum number of three tickets. We have to sell as per our allocation,” Kader also said.
This time there will be no cash payment. Consumers have to pay by bkash, rocket mobile system, debit and credit card. For this, they have required National ID coupled with their mobile number. But if he or she is student or business person, in that case they have to produce student ID, business ID and passport.
Consumers have to pick their tickets from the designated pick-up point, where they have to match mobile number before collecting their tickets. Lotto’s seven designated outlets across Dhaka will be used as the pick-up points, from where they could be collected their tickets just one day after the online process ended.
