Series trophy unveiled sans captains
An unusual scene. Dutch Bangla Bank Limited (DBBL) once again acquired the right of the title sponsor of the forthcoming Bangladesh and England bilateral series to be kick-started on October 7.

The series, comprising of three one day internationals and two-match Test series, will be named as Rocket Bangladesh vs England cricket series 2016.
Nizamuddin Chowdhury, CEO of Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB), made this disclosure at a press conference at the media block of the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium (SBNCS) yesterday.
K Shamshi Tabrez, managing director of the Dutch Bangla Bank Limited (DBBL) and Faridur Reza Sagor, managing director of Impress Matra Consortium, who took the sponsorship rights from the BCB for the next two years, were also present.
Expressing his delight to be title sponsor, Shamshi Tabrez said that they will be remained with cricket for the next two years.
“Dutch Bangla Bank previously sponsored on debut (Test) match between Bangladesh and India in 2010. We were the sponsor of the just concluded series of Bangladesh and Afghanistan. Even we will be stayed in cricket for the next two years,” said Tabrez.
“Hopefully our Rocket, the new brand of mobile banking of Dutch Bangla Bank Limited, which will provide the swift service to the customer like the rocket,” Tabrez also said. “The way we won the series against Afghanistan we want to win the next series against England,” Faridur Reza Sagor said in his reaction.  
Later, the trophies of the Bangladesh and England series were unveiled by sponsors at the fag’s end of the programme.
When asked to unveil the trophies without the captains, Nizamuddin Chowdhury said that they could not do it because of sponsor’s time and players’ availability.
“We don’t break the tradition. But we could not do it due to sponsor’s time and player’s availability. Hopefully we could be unveiled the trophies by captains and will continue the tradition in days to come,” Chowdhury told in response to a query.
