Bangladesh skipper Mashrafe Bin Mortaza returned to the practice, wiping out the apprehension around him following his ankle injury what he suffered during the third ODI against Afghanistan.
Mashrafe though bowled some more overs after falling down dangerously, his ankle was hurt and a swell was visible on that place. What scared the team management was that whether he could get back to the team as full fit given his past injury status.
Still there was some scare but Mashrafe bowled four overs in the net to indicate that he is close to gain his match fitness.
“I have bowled four overs and felt no problem though there was slight pain,” he told the reports yesterday.
“But yes there is some discomfort because during the landing, it seemed I will get hurt again. Actually it came in my head because of the past experience with my injury. It is uncomfortable for me. Whatever after bowling tomorrow, I am sure that discomfort will be removed.”
However bowling coach Courtney Walsh seemed to be worried about him during the bowling session. As he closely followed Mashrafe in the net, he every time asked Mashrafe whether he feels okay. When Mashrafe gives a positive nod, it looks Walsh feels relieved.
Meanwhile, Mashrafe turned to 33 yesterday. Though there was no formal celebration, he cut a cake with the media people after his practice session.
