A joint Disaster Response Exercise and Exchange (DREE) on the post earthquake disaster management preparation was held on Tuesday in the capital visualising that a 7.5 magnitude earthquake hit the country, reports BSS.
The Disaster Management and Relief Ministry along with Armed Forces Division and United States Army Pacific (USARPAC), the army component unit of the United States Pacific Command which performs missions in the Southeast Asia including Bangladesh, organised the exercise at city's Dupkhola and Uttara, said an ISPR release.
The joint exercise includes search and rescue, medical evacuation, logistics movement, aeronautical evacuation, debris management, dead body management, set up of temporary camp for the victims and relief assistance were carried out after visualizing that a severe 7.5 magnitude earthquake hit the country.
