Jamalpur: The body of a schoolboy, who went missing in the Brahmaputra river in Sharifpur area of Sadar upazila on Friday, was recovered from the river yesterday morning, reports UNB. The victim was identified as Kabya, 13, son of Atul Prasad, a resident of Bojrapur Hajipara of the district town and a class VII student of Jamalpur Zila School. Family sources said Kabya along with his friends playing football near the river on Friday noon. At one stage, Kabya went down the river to pick the ball as it fell into the river and drowned. A three-member team of divers from Mymensingh fire service tried for two days to trace the boy, but failed. Later, local people spotted the body in the river early in the morning and informed police who recovered it.
