Two workers killed in wall collapse in capital

Two workers were killed when a portion of a wall collapsed on them in the city’s Progoti Sarani area yesterday noon, reports UNB.
One of the deceased was identified as Mohammad Arefin, 28, a resident of Kalachandpur in the captals’s Gulshan area and son of Abdul Khalek of Matlab North in Chandpur district.
Aminul, sub-inspector of Gulshan Police Station, said a portion of a wall of an old building collapsed on the two workers who were engaged in breaking the building around 12 pm, leaving them critically injured.
They were rushed to Dhaka Medical College Hospital where doctors declared them dead around 3:30 pm. Arefin’s wife identified the body of her husband while the identity of the other deceased could not be ascertained yet.
