World Bank President Dr. Jim Yong Kim is scheduled to arrive in Dhaka on October 17 to have a glimpse of the Bangladesh’s success in poverty alleviation, reports BSS.
“The WB chief is coming to Dhaka on October 17 but the itinerary of his visit is yet to be finalized,” Communication Officer of the WB’s Dhaka office Mehrin Ahmed Mahbub told BSS.
The WB chief is amazed by Bangladesh’s success in achieving MDGs and meeting poverty alleviation targets. So, he has planned to visit Bangladesh on the occasion of the International Day on Poverty Alleviation on October 17, according to the WB
