CHITTAGONG: Chittagong Metropolitan Police in separate drives arrested four members of a gang involved in stealing CNG-run auto-rickshaw from Bayezid area in the city yesterday, reports BSS.
The arrested were Mohammad Selim, 28, and Babul, 25, both hailed from Cox’s Bazar district, Delwar Hossain, 23, and Abu Taher, 24, hailed form Satkhania upazila of the district.
Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Bayezid Thana Mohammed Mohsin said during primary interrogation, the members confessed to lifting a CNG-run auto-rickshaw by tying up its driver from a residential area of Oxygen under Bayezid thana at about 11 pm on September 24.
Police arrested the gang members from the area following a complaint lodged with Bayezid thana on Monday (Sept 26) night by the auto-rickshaw owner, said the OC.
