The government as part of power energy saving measurers has undertaken a programme to install Improved Clean Cook Stove (ICS) in 3 crore households across the country by 2030, BSS reports.
The programme has been taken in conformity with number-7 target of United Nation's Sustainable Development Goal (SDG), according to an official handout issued yesterday.
Protection of child and maternal health, reducing air pollution and smoke free cooking would be ensured with the installation of the Improved Clean Cook stroke, it said. The handout added that the government has already adopted "Country Action Plan (CAP) for Clean Cookstroves to this end while Household Energy Platform was constituted comprising of all stakeholders.
