Mahmud hopes Rubel, Taskin to be more efficient in next matches

Bangladesh team manager Khaled Mahmud Sujon said that they want to continue their fearless cricket what we have been trying to play since last two years.   

“International match is always a difficult game. You can’t create such environment of international match by playing only practice and practice matches. If you see you will get to see that we were held back in yesterday’s match as we could not do well in batting, bowling and fielding playing down after a long hiatus,” said Khaled Mahmud yesterday.
“There were some pressures from all the fronts. I think we are lucky that we played a better cricket and won the match that was important for us. Such a victory will inspire our team for the next matches. Definitely from here we will go back once again in our fearless cricket what we normally try to play last two years,” Sujon told media.
“Our work is to play fearless cricket what we had played last 10-months ago. There was everything in right but we played in fear. We don’t want that fear in next matches. Tigers will play like Tigers,” he added.
Mahmud, who is also board director in BCB and its game development committee chairman, said that they could be added some more runs on the board if Shakib could play till the last of the match.
“I think some more runs could be added. But we could not do it due to wicket. It can’t be happened in cricket. It may be happened while run chasing. It would be increased if Shakib could play to the last. But that has not been done. It is biggest thing to win the match,” this BCB director said.
“To be honest, we want to make 350 runs. Of course, we can score 300 or more runs it would be better for our bowlers to defend. We also want that. We had deficit of international match practice. I think we could understand to see the next match what lapses we have in our bowling, batting and fielding.”   
When asked about the off-form of Soumya Sarkar, who could not play big innings since long time, Mahmud said that he needs to come back in form just for one good innings.
“Definitely Soumya is a class. He needed just one more innings to bounce back. He meanwhile proved that he is a class cricketer. We are not worried about him. I think he will back in form by playing just one good innings,” the former captain explained.
“Nothing else, Taskin and Rubel return to cricket after a long lull. It may be thought they could not fare well in the initial stage but if they could do well then nobody talk anything about it. But they bowled well in the need of time for the team. They bowled according to team’s game plan and did well. Rubel resumed his national duty from long-injury layoff and Taskin came from bowling woes. They played the first match surpassing the difficulties. I think there will be no problem for them in the next matches,” he told in response to a query about bowling of Taskin Ahmed and Rubel Hossain.
