Suspended Sylhet mayor hospitalised

SYLHET: Suspended mayor of Sylhet City Corporation Ariful Haque Chawdhury was admitted to Osmani Medical College and Hospital in the city yesterday as he fell sick in jail, reports UNB.
Abdus Sagir Mia, Jail super of Sylhet central jail, said Ariful fell sick due to high blood pressure and uncontrolled diabetes on Sunday night.
Ariful’s close relative Juraiz Abdullah said that he was kept at the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of the hospital. Ariful Haque Chawdhury, now behind the bar in former finance minister Shah AMS Kibria murder case.
