Two teachers and eight students of Dhaka University (DU) yesterday received the ‘IFIC Bank Trust Fund’ grants for research purpose while eight other students received stipend at a function on the campus in Dhaka, reports BSS.
DU VC Professor Dr AAMS Arefin Siddique handed over the cheques to the awarded recipients as the chief guest at Nawab Ali Chowdhury Senate Bhaban.
The IFIC Bank Trust Fund trustee board chairman and DU treasurer Kamal Uddin presided over the function while Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Bank Shah A Sarwar addressed the function as special guest. Acting Registrar of the university Md Enamuzzaman conducted the programme.
DU VC thanked IFIC Bank for extending cooperation to the teachers and students of the university.
Later, CEO Sarwar handed over a cheque of Taka 20 lakh to increase the capital of the fund.
