Four fake DB men taken on remand

A Dhaka court yesterday placed four fake members of Detective Branch of Police, who were arrested on Saturday in the capital, on a day remand each. 

They were identified as Shafiqul Islam Rana, Apple, Ibrahim, and Imran. Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Khurshid Alam passed the order after hearing.
Deputy Commissioner of DB Mashrukur Rahman Khaled confirmed it and told that they posed themselves as police detectives and planned to commit crimes like abduction and extract ransom for releasing hostages.
About the activities of the fake DB gang, the DB senior official said ,they used to wait in front of banks in cars equipped with walkie-talkies, fake pistols and vests used by DB officers.
Meantionable that Members of Detective Branch (DB) arrested four people for allegedly impersonating its members from the capital’s Motijheel area on Saturday night.
