Urmila Srabanti Kar in two new drama serials

Popular model-actress Urmila Srabanti Kar has certainly come a long way ever since making her entry into the media limelight through the ‘Lux Channel i Superstar’ beauty pageant. She has established a firm position in the country’s acting world and now is properly identified as an actress. That fact is well recognised by both the viewers as well as the directors. For quite a number of years, Urmila has appeared in projects with good stories. For that purpose, she has also become very selective about her work, as she only agrees to do projects with satisfying stories. Keeping that trend, Urmila can now be seen in two drama serials.
Urmila can be seen in the ongoing drama serial titled ‘Astha’, written and directed by Ejaj Munna. The drama serial is now regularly being aired on NTV, where Urmila plays the role of Nafisa. On the other hand, she will also be seen in another ongoing drama serial titled ‘Sunflower’, written by Mezbahuddin Sumon, on NTV. She is playing as Mithila in the drama serial.
Popular actress Tarin is one of the Urmila’s co-artistes in the drama serial ‘Sunflower’. Regarding Tarin, Urmila said, “When I was participating in the Lux Channel i Superstar competition, popular actress Tarin was one of the guest judges. As far as inspirations are concerned, Tarin is one such individual that I always look up to. She is not only one of my favourite artistes, but also one of my most favourite people. The fact that I am working alongside her is a matter of great joy for me. I am really fond of her. She always shows support, coordination and love during the shooting. What a true artiste should be, that is what Tarin is. As far as my characters in the drama serials are concerned, I am very satisfied with both.”
Drama serial ‘Astha’ can be watched every Saturday and Sunday at 8:15pm on NTV, while ‘Sunflower’ will be aired on NTV from October 2.
