India bounce back in style

India bounced back to winning track in the Beximco Under-18 Asia Cup Hockey when they thrashed Oman by 11-0 at Maulana Bhashani Hockey Stadium in the capital yesterday. By virtue of this win India came back strongly  in the race to move into the knockout phase.  

India, who went down a fighting 5-4 to Bangladesh in their opener, played with full dominance throughout 70 minutes game and scored 11 goals with taking 6-0 lead in the first half.
Dilpreet Singh scored four goals, Konjengbam Singh scored two while Dharminder Singh, Abhishek, Nilam Sandeep, Kishore Arya and Shivam Anand added a piece each to join the celebration.
TAIPEI VS HONG KONG
Riding on three goals each from Huang Tzu Yu and Liu Chin Feng, Chinese Taipei earned a massive 9-0 victory over Hong Kong in the second match at the same venue. Chinese Taipei, who made their campaign with a shocking 1-6 defeat at the hands of Pakistan, found the winning way with thrashing the lowly Hong Kong.
Hong Kong suffered their successive second defeat as they earlier went down to China by 6-0 in their first match.
However, Chang Ting Wei, who scored a couple of goals, opened the scoring in the very third minute and doubled the margin on 22nd minute. Liu Chin Feng struck his first off three to extend the lead to 3-0 in the first half.
Captain Huang Tzu Yu, who slammed the hat-trick, opened his account on 40th minute and completed the hattrick with striking on 46th and 55th minute.
Liu Ching scored his second and third goal on 61st and 65th minute to make the tally 8-0 while Shih Tsung Jen closed the score sheet with adding one goal on 69th minute.
PAKISTAN VS CHINA 
Khan Amjad Ali, Aziz Ali and Afrar, all three forwards scored a couple of goals to guide Pakistan to a successive second win crushing China 6-0 in the second match of the day. 
It took almost full 35 minutes of first half to break the deadlock when Khan Amjad Ali converted a penalty corner to send Pakistan into lead just few second before the short whistle.
But the second half turned into almost a one-sided affairs when Pakistan adopted a complete offensive game strategy to score five more goals in the last 35 minutes.
Aziz Ali scored two beautiful field goals, first one was a sharp push from closely to the goal line on 40th minute and four minutes later with sharp flicked on a Arshad’s cross.
Khan Amzad, penalty corner specialist, who imitated the scoring in the late hour of the first half, scored his second and fourth for the team with nice stick work on 52nd minute.
Afraz, who also struck twice, made tally 5-0 on 54th and scored the last one comfortably pushing an Amjad left side cross when he was left fully free just close to post one minute before the final hooter.
