RAJSHAHI: After five days of her abduction, police rescued a school girl from Halidagachhi village under Charghat upazila of the district in early hours of yesterday. Police also arrested the kidnapper identified as Sekendar Ali Raja, 35, son of Abdus Sattar of Biraldaha village under Puthiya upazila of the district.
Hafizur Rahman, Officer-in-Charge of Puthiya Police Station, said Raju in connivance with two others abducted the girl on her way to school on September 20, reports BSS.
Immediately after the incident, father of the victim lodged a case with the police station.
Acting on a tip-off, Rajshahi police conducted a sudden raid in a house and rescued the school girl victim and also arrested the abductor at around 10 am.
