Australia to issue five-year visas to families of migrants

Families of migrants to Australia will be able to apply for a five-year temporary residency visa, in a move set to reduce decade-long wait list for families seeking a permanent residency visa, the Australian government has announced, reports BSS. The move was made after the government became aware of frustrations surrounding the current visa program, Assistant Minister for Immigration Alex Hawke was quoted by The Australian on Saturday.
Currently, if family members of a migrant to Rana, his three brothers, Shahidur Rahman Khan Mukti, ex-mayor of Tangail Municipality, transport and business leader Zahudur Rahman Khan Kakon, and former BCL vice-president Saniat Khan Bappa, on February 3, 2016.
The court accepted the charge-sheets on April 6 and issued arrest warrants against the 10 absconding accused. The court also ordered confiscation of properties of the absconding accused. The police confiscated their properties on May 20. The court also published notices in newspapers, directing them to appear before the court. The court has fixed September 29 as the date of framing of charges.
