The Parliamentary Standing Committee on Women and Children Affairs yesterday suggested for ensuring financial security to the orphan girls until they become self-reliant, reports BSS.
“The committee emphasised on the financial security of the orphan female children through providing government allowance to them by undertaking any project or programme until they become self-reliant,” a parliamentary secretariat statement said this evening.
The meeting also underscored the need for expansion of all projects taken earlier for women and children in the remote areas across the country.
The standing committee recommendations came at its 27th meeting presided over by its chairman Begum Rebeka Momin.
