Rahmatganj MFS failed to remain in the top of the points table in the JB Bangladesh Premier League Football when they drew with Soccer Club Feni in a 1-1 drawn game at the Bangabandhu National Stadium in the capital yesterday.
Mehbub Hassan Nayan put Rahmatganj into lead in the midway of the first half and Chowmin Rakhain made it 1-1 converting a late penalty for Soccer Club.
Rahmatganj, who have been fighting with the power houses almost evenly from the beginning of the league with leading the point table along with other title contenders, after sharing point with Soccer Club now went down to second position.
Rahmatganj began the match in style with impressive performance playing the passing and pressing football to keep the Soccer Club under tremendous pressure but could not open the net in the early hour despite going closer.
The Old Dhaka outfit stunned all with starting the league campaign halting Mohammedan Sporting Club on 1-1, and overwhelmed with a 2-0 victory over Sheikh Russel, forced Sheikh Jamal for a 1-1 draw and made a big upset with a 2-0 victory over Chittagong Abahani.
Rahmatganj went ahead on 25th minute with a superb finish of a combined attack through Mehbub Hassan Nayan.
