One arrested; drone seized at Shahjalal airport

Customs Intelligence and Investigation Directorate (CIID) arrested a man and seized a drone, illegally imported from Dubai, at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in the capital early yesterday, reports BSS.
The arrested was Jahidul Islam alias Nazrul Islam from Kustia.
"Acting on tip-off, Customs Intelligence and Investigation Directorate (CIID) officers searched Jahidul's luggage and seized the drone of 14 kilograms," said Customs Intelligence and Investigation Directorate (CIID),  Director General Dr Mynul Khan.
"The import of such drone is totally banned in the country according to the existing import policy," he said, adding that the abuse of the drone is also a threat to the country's security.
