GAZIPUR: Another young man who suffered burn injuries in the fire at the factory of ‘Tampaco Foils Ltd’ in Tongi BSCIC Industrial area on September 10 died at a hospital in the capital on Tuesday, raising the death toll in the fatal incident to 35, reports UNB.
The deceased identified as Hossain Ahmed Rasel,25, son of Hasan Ali, a resident of Ghagua village in Golapganj upazila of Sylhet district, was assistant operator of the burnt factory.
Tongi Police Station Officer-in-charge Firoz Talukder said Rasel who received 70 per cent burns succumbed to his injures at Japan Bangladesh Friendship Hospital in the capital’s Dhanmondi area around 4pm.
Meanwhile, army and fire service personnel are still carrying out rescue activities at the fire-ravaged factory as 11 people, on the missing list of the district administration, could not be traced out yet.
