Shibir leader held in Narail

Police, in separate drives, arrested 18 persons, including a leader of Islami Chhatra Shibir, from different areas of the district on Monday night.
He was identified as Shipon Mia, 24, president of Kalora union unit Chhatra Shibir and son of Habibar Mia of Agdia village in Sadar upazila.
Police said the 18 persons were picked up from different areas of the district on various charges.
During the drives, Narail Sadar police arrested seven people, including the Shibir leader Shipon Mia from his house, Lohagara police seven persons, Kalia police two persons, and Noragoti police two persons.
Superintendent of police of Narail Sardar Rakibul Islam said several cases are pending against the arrested people with different police stations of the district.
