Sirajganj: Detectives arrested four suspected members of banned militant outfit Jama’atul Mujahideen Bangladesh (JMB) from a madrasah in Raiganj upazila early yesterday, reports UNB.
The arrestees were identified as Abu Bakar Siddiki, 49, a resident of Gandail village in Kazipur upazila, Joynal Abedin,55, of Erandah village in Raiganj upazila and his two sons—Borhan Uddin, 28, and Imran Ali, 26.
SP Miraz Uddin said a team of the Detective Branch of police conducted a raid on Jamiatul Quran Cadet Madrasah in Raiganj upazila and arrested them at about 5.00am. The law enforcers also recovered 10 live bombs, bomb making materials and jihadi (religious uprising) books. Details about the drive will be disclosed at a press briefing later, the SP added.
