UZ chairman sent to jail in abduction case

Rangamati: A court here yesterday sent Baghaichhari upazila chairman Bororishi Chakma and three others to jail in an abduction case, reports UNB.
Probhat Chakma, Tridib Chakma and Ajay Chakma were the other accused sent to jail.
Senior Judicial Magistrate Rokon Uddin Kabir passed the order when the four accused appeared before the court on completion of their bail, granted earlier by the High Court in the case.
On May 30, Mukul Chakma, a former army personnel, was abducted by some criminals from his house at Laillyaghona in Baghaichhari upazila.
Later, a case was filed accusing four people including the upazila chairman.
