‘Peddler’ held with yaba tablets

CHITTAGONG: Police arrested an alleged drug peddler with 3000 yaba tablets from city's Ekkilometer area under Chandgaon thana on Monday, reports BSS.

The arrested person was identified as Mohammad Sohel, 19, son of Mohammad Oliullah, hailed from Teqnaf Upazila of Cox's Bazar district.
On a tip-off, a team of Chandgaon thana police detained the drug peddler in front of Mohona community center of Ekkilometer area under Chandgaon thana and recovered the contraband drugs from his possession, police said. A case was filed with Chandgaon Thana under Narcotics Control Act in this regard.
