Apurba, Tareen together in drama serial ‘Sunflower’

Whenever popular artistes Apurba and Tareen have paired up together on the small screen, it always received immense appreciation from the viewers. That is why, both the artistes always give their level best to deliver performances that will enthral the audience. However, the duo has not paired up together on screen for a year. Now, after a long time, they will be seen together in a drama serial titled ‘Sunflower’ on NTV. The drama serial is directed by Nazrul Islam Raju and scripted by Mezbahuddin Sumon. Produced by Atikur Rahman Babu, the shooting of the drama serial began in Dinajpur from September 18 and will conclude on September 30.
In the drama serial, Tareen plays the role of Joya, who is the proprietor of ‘Sunflower Electronics’ and also a mechanical engineer by profession. Apurba plays the role of Sami, who recently returns to the country from abroad.
Tareen spoke about acting in the drama serial, “I have worked under the direction of Nazrul Islam Raju before. It is a much organised unit and an artiste can feel stress-free while working under his direction. Also, I have worked with Apurba in so many projects that I consider him a member of my own family. I have seen Apurba develop into the performer that he is today right in front of my very own eyes. That is why, as a co-artiste, his position in the field is something that I am thoroughly impressed by.”
“Playing my role in ‘Sunflower’, I am very much reminded of my father’s professional life as he was an engineer”, she added.
Regarding the drama serial, Apurba said, “I would say that Tareen is a very powerful actress and I consider her to be a unique co-artiste. Artistes can learn a lot from her. In my career, I have learnt so much from her and for that I will be eternally grateful to her. Now, people say encouraging things about my romantic image. I must say that Tareen has played a pivotal role towards teaching me that. Working with her after so long is a matter of great joy for me.”
