Six people were killed in separate road accidents in Munshiganj and Bogra yesterday, reports UNB.
In Munshiganj: Four people were killed and 30 others injured in a head-on collision between two buses at Nimtoli in Sirajdikhan upazila. The identities of the deceased could not be known immediately.
Zayedul Alam, superintendent of Munshiganj Police, said the accident took place around 1:45 pm when a Mawa-bound bus collided with another bus coming from the opposite direction, leaving four dead on the spot and 30 others injured. The injured were rushed to different hospiatals.
In Bogra: A woman and a teenage girl were killed and 15 people injured in a head-on collision between a truck and a bus on Dhaka-Bogra highway at Mirzapur Ambagan in Sherpur upazila. The deceased were identified as Raushan Ara, 27, and Mohona Khatun, 15, both residents of Rangpur district.
OC of Sherpur police Erfan Ali said a Dhaka-bound goods-laden truck collided with a bus around 3:00am, leaving Mohona dead on the spot and 16 others injured.
