50 lakh people served by UDC in Khulna

KHULNA: About 50 lakhs people of 68 Union of nine upazilas in southern Khulna have been receiving digital service through Union Digital Center (UDC). 
A total of 138 people including women, who have received the training on Information Communication and Technology (ICT) with government assistance, are serving the people with their acquired knowledge, Deputy Commissioner of Khulna Nazmul Ahsan told BSS.  
"We provide the training on ICT to build up the participants' capacity of managing information system and uploading the all activities of the UDC through software" he added.
However the training recipients are now becoming entrepreneur of computer lab while some of them already have been appointed at UDC and earning money to change their lives. Talking to BSS a training recipient Abdul Kader Biswas said, I completed a computer course with my father's inspiration after SSC examination and joined at my brother's computer lab. But after completing the training on ICT, I have been appointed at UDC as well as me now also an owner of three computer labs.
