The School of Business in association with the Centre for Business Policy Research at Independent University, Bangladesh (IUB) organised a seminar on “Manufacturing Sector in Bangladesh: Opportunities and Challenges’ on June 23 at IUB campus in Bashundhara, in the capital, according to a press release.
Syed Nasim Manzur, President, Metropolitan Chamber of Commerce and Industry, was speaker of the seminar. In the seminar, Manzur spoke on the opportunities and challenges of the manufacturing sector in Bangladesh. He also mentioned the historical evolution of manufacturing ventures in Bangladesh. Manzur encouraged the new generation to be innovative and challenging and also to be a part of this emerging industry.
Professor Dr. Sarwar Uddin Ahmed, Dean, School of Business, IUB, delivered the address of welcome and welcomed the speaker. Rashed Chowdhury, Chairman, Board of Trustees, IUB, and Professor M Omar Rahman, Vice Chancellor, also spoke on the occasion.
The seminar was ended with an interesting question-answer session. The members of the faculty and management and a good number of students participated in the seminar.
