Four held with foreign liquor

Chittagong: Rapid Action Battalion (Rab) arrested four suspected drug peddlers along with 1000 bottles of foreign liquor from a trawler in the estuary of the Karnaphuli River under Patenga thana yesterday morning. The arrestees were Mohammad Shahanur, 35, Zinnat Ali, 50, Manzur Alam, 35, and Mohammad Hasan, 27. Assistant superintendent of Police Chandan Debnath, also media officer of Rab-7, said a team of Rab conducted a drive in the area around 6.30 am and arrested them along with the liquor worth Tk 28 lakh.
