Fifty persons were injured in a clash between two groups of people at south Sangar village under Baniachung upazila of the district yesterday noon, reports BSS from Habiganj. Altercation started between Mintoo Miah and Saidur Rahman of south Sangar village over lifting of a mobile phone. During three hours of clash people of both the groups used lethal weapons. Seriously injured 10 persons were sent to Sylhet Osmany Medical College Hospital for
treatment. Rests were admitted to Baniachang Upazila Health Complex and Habiganj sadar hospital. Officer in Charge (OC) of Baniachang Thana Amulla Kumar Chowdhury confirmed the incident and said situation is now under control.
