GAZIPUR: At least five people were killed and seven others injured in two separate road accidents on the Dhaka-Mymensingh Highway in the district yesterday morning, reports BSS. The identities of the deceased could not be known immediately. Officer-in-charge (OC) of Sreepur Mawna Highway Police Station Md Hafizur Rahman said a bus collided head-on with a pickup at Rangila Bazar in Sreepur upazila around 7am, leaving one person dead on the spot and two others injured. Besides, a truck hit a human hauler (Leguna) at Bhabanipur (Bagher Bazar) in Sadar upazila in the morning, leaving its four passengers dead on the spot and five others injured. Later, the injured were taken to local hospitals and clinics.
