Tight security taken during Eid vacation

The law enforcers in the city have taken tight security measures during the Eid vacation to ensure smooth law and order. Barisal Metropolitan Police also started their 10 days Eid security from Friday to September 18 with a total 750 members team. The team including three Deputy Commissioners, one Additional Deputy Commissioner, five assistant commissioners, 10 inspectors, 60 sub inspectors, 66 assistant sub inspectors, 8 female sub inspectors 550 was on duty round the clock from Friday to next 10 days.
The BMP formed a total 100 teams with these members including 14 cheque posts, 20 full patrol teams, 4 female police patrol teams, 32 mobile teams, 3 station security teams, 4 amusement point security teams, one river patrol team, one sweeping team, one mobile court team, one wrecker team, 21 traffic management teams near cattle markets, three stand by team, 10 city SB teams, 16 Eid jamaat security and one monitoring team to ensure security for the Eid occasion.
More than two hundred members of other different law enforcing agencies were engaged in this duty with arms and metal detectors and they will also check and guard the main Eid prayer grounds and mosques, entrance and departure points, water and road transport terminals. Besides, armed police battalion has been patrolled city roads and out skirts. Eight patrol teams of RAB has been moving on the city roads day and night to give safety and security.
