AFP, RANGPUR: The import and export activities will remain suspended for six days through Hili Land Port (HLP) under Hakimpur upazila in Dinajpur on the occasion of holy Eid-ul-Azha, reports BSS. According to sources in the Clearing and Forwarding Agents Association (C&FAA) at HLP, import and export activities will remain suspended through the land port from September 11 to 16 next during the Eid-ul-Azha vacation.
Talking to the news agency yesterday, President of C&FAA of HLP Kamal Hossain Raz said the imports, exports, customs clearance, loading and unloading of the goods will resume through the land port from September 17 next.
However, movement of passport-visa holder citizens will remain normal through the Immigration Check Post at HLP during the period despite closure of import and export activities, said Officer-in-Charge of the ICP Md Rafikuzzaman.
