Divisional debate fest begins

A two -day divisional debate festival titled 'Promoting Citizens Access to information’ began at Ashwani Kumar Hall of the city yesterday morning.

Management and Resources Development Initiative (MRDI) in association with Manusher Janno, Jagrata Nagarik Committee, Bangladesh Debate Federation (BDF) and Bangladesh Debate Society (BDS) organised the festival.
Nepal Chandra Sarker, Information Commissioner, was the chief guest, Dr Gazi Md Saifuzzaman, deputy commissioner, Barisal, Molla Azad Hossain, additional police superintendent of Barisal, were the special guests, at the inaugural ceremony.
